I took a few months off of professional writing and got back into it during December. From December 2021 to February 2022, I had my second internship. This internship was more intense and gave me a more real look into what writing articles for a living looks like. I was writing two articles a week of at least 1,500 words. I had no idea about anything about being into health and fitness, much less creating and running a fitness and wellness business. I was writing articles on features needed for starting your own business like self-employment ledgers, ways to create a fitness business like being a yoga instructor, and comparing the company to other ones.
I will attach links to visit the website for this company. Persona is all about starting up fitness and wellness companies. It is aimed for taking care of that tedious and time consuming act of sceduling and meeting up with clients, getting payments from them, and it will even manage your expenses. They will do it all for you, and at no cost. It is free to download, free to use, and will always be that way. As their tagline say, "intuitive business & financial management platform tailored specifically for fitness, beauty, and wellness self-employed professionals. Our platform is 100% free forever for every user" and "Persona is the #1 management platform for fitness, beauty and wellness professionals. it's 100% free, download it now."
I do not have a link provided of the articles, as the website wasn't created by grouping writer's articles together. Therefore, I created a linktree where all the articles I wrote are grouped together. So, I will attach that link. In order to read my articles, you will just click the main link below, and then go through each link one by one. There isn't a way to read them all together, but I made it so they're all in one place. All the articles I wrote during this internship are live now, so go check them out!
From March 22nd, 2021, to May 21st, 2021, I had my first real job of writing! I spent these three months writing two articles a week about renewable energy. I didn't know a lot about it and had to do a lot of research. I was provided examples of things to write about, I had to find at least two more articles on that item. From gathering multiple articles, I would go through and pick out anything that I deemed important; and I would take these pieces, put them in my own words and write my article. I primarily focused on renewable energy aspects such as microgrids, biomass, solar power, wind power, and the benefits of all these things and renewable energy in general.
I will attach links to visit the website for this company. The name is Greek Mythology, and straight from the website, "Scylla (Sill-ya) is a six-headed sea monster who haunted the rocks of a narrow, treacherous strait and all those who passed it. The many heads on the monster represent the different projects we have on the pipeline." The company was founded by a group of Cal State University, San Marcos students in May 2020. The website describes it as "Scylla Microgrid was initially a senior project that started with researching, analyzing, and assessing solar microgrids and theoretically implementing them on campus. As theory turned into reality, Scylla now works with CSU San Marcos for the development and operation of a 10 MW renewable energy-based microgrid all across campus."
I will also include a link for my author page. It is so amazing to say that! I cannot believe that I can say that I have an author's page! I am an actual author! My lifetime goal has always been to be an author. Originally I had wanted it to be just for writing novels and then poetry. But after this internship, I realized how much I love writing articles! Writing articles is something that I want to continue pursuing and continue writing for all different things. I never thought I would have so much fun writing about something I didn't know, but I truly shocked myself. I enjoyed working with the company and am so thankful for them for giving me a chance to write for the big-time world.
Even though my internship is done, my articles are still being posted each week. There were other writers creating articles, so they are not always mine being posted. Because of that, I will include a link to my author's page instead of a link to the blog. However, it is really easy to get back to the blog if you are interested in reading more about renewable energy.
